"I am raising a daughter here in Southold Town.
I want her to be blessed with the same environmental privileges I had growing up here. Living in such a beautiful waterfront town is not only a privilege, but with it comes many environmental responsibilities. By becoming a Trustee, it will enable me to responsibly protect the environment. This way my daughter and all generations, present and future, may have the same benefits I had as a child.

Preserving, Restoring, and Revitalizing Southold Township

Community Accomplishments

• Computer landscape designer and illustrator for Briarcliff Landscape
  
• Active Member of the Southold Historical Society
  
• Designed and revitalized Southold Elementary School Garden
  
• Designed the revitalization plan for the herb garden of the Thomas Moore House at the Southold Historical Society
  
• Active member of the Southold Town Garden Club and chairman of their annual plant sale.

Background and Experience

• Born and raised in Southold Town on Creek front Property
• Graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in General Illustration
• Worked 10+ years in Manhattan as a Commercial Artist and CAD Illustrator.
• Married to Major William C. Grigonis, retired United States Marine with 20 years service. Instructor of NJROTC at Southold, Mattituck and Greenport
• Mother to Jamie Anna Grigonis, 4th grader in Southold Elementary School
• Her home gardens were chosen to be part of Southold Town School Garden Tour 2005
• Avid Wildlife and Native Plant photographer (All Southold Town scenic photos were taken by Joyce), Native plant gardener, with a forte in aquatic plants and water gardens.
